HCPL Volunteer ProgramThe Hancock County Public Library volunteer program is designed to assist personnel, promote library services, and create educational opportunities. Tech Services Assistant Main Library Description: Work in Technical Service Department repairing worn books and other library materials so that they may circulate again. Training and supplies are provided. Typical tasks include: repairing broken spines, reattaching loose pages, mending book jackets, recovering materials, re-labeling materials, and replacing containers. Reference Department Volunteer Main Library Description: This volunteer description provides a variety of support services to the Reference Department including maintenance of the Vertical File and Catalog collections, updating various Reference resources, and other duties as assigned.
