The oceans cover 70% of the Earth’s surface.

The ocean also contains 97% of our water supply, but it is not drinkable.

All of the Earth’s oceans are connected.

There are 5 oceans The Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and The Southern Ocean.

80% of all life in found in the Ocean.

Oceans contain 99% of all living space and less than 10% of the entire ocean has been explored by people.

90% of all volcanic activity happens in the ocean.

An Oarfish has the longest body of a fish in the world. It has a snakelike body which can be up to 15.25 m in length.  This fish is responsible for many of the “sea serpent” sightings in the world.
