How to get a Library Card - Reciprocal Borrower Card

HCPL does not directly serve Vernon Township. When countywide library service began in 1999, the Fortville-Vernon Township Public Library opted to remain independent rather than merge with our library. The good news is that HCPL offers reciprocal borrowing to all cardholders of the Fortville-Vernon Township Public Library. Simply bring your library card from that library, and we will issue an HCPL card.
