Fines & Fees

1. Fines are charged for all overdue materials.
2. Fines are $.10 per item for each day overdue for all materials except as specified below.
3. Fines are $.25 per day for overdue 21-day videos, 21-day DVDs, art prints, recorded books, compact discs, juvenile book and CD sets, juvenile music cassettes, Parent-Teacher Collection bags and kits. Multi-part compact discs, DVDs and videos count as one item.
4. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day for 7-day videos, 7-day DVDs, CD-ROMS, and baby bags. Multi-part videos and DVDs count as one item.
5. A “No Pick-Up Fee” of $1.00 will be charged per item for materials held by request but not picked up or cancelled within four (4) days. This policy ensures equitable access to library materials by all patrons. A waiver may be arranged in advance for special circumstances, such as a patron's vacation time.
6. Overdue items returned in the book deposit box are subject to the amount of the fine incurred.
7. Fines are not charged for days that the library is closed.
8. Fines on each item will not exceed the current replacement cost of the item.
9. An overdue fine of $.25 per day is charged for each item borrowed through interlibrary loan. (See “Interlibrary Loan Policy” for other fees.)
10. Fines may be paid in-person, or with a credit card over the phone or through a secure online form.
