Fines & Fees

- Fines are charged for all overdue materials.
- Fines are 10 cents per item for each day overdue for all materials except as specified below.
- Fines are 25 cents per day for overdue 21-day videos, 21-day DVDs, art prints, recorded books, compact discs, juvenile book and CD sets, juvenile music cassettes, Parent-Teacher Collection bags and kits and puppets. Multi-part compact discs, DVDs and videos count as one item.
- Fines are $1.00 per day for 7-day videos, 7-day DVDs and Baby Bags. Multi-part videos and DVDs count as one item. Fines are $1.00 per day for CD-ROMs.
- Overdue items returned in the book deposit box are subject to the amount of the fine incurred.
- Fines are not charged for days that the library is closed.
- Fines on each item will not exceed the current replacement cost of the item.
- Fines on overdue catalogs and vertical file material will not exceed $3.00.
- A fine of 10 cents per day is charged for each item, except for those items listed in #2 of this section, which has been borrowed through interlibrary loan. If the lending library has a fine or penalty for late returns which is stated in the ILL documentation, the patron will be responsible for paying this fine as well.
