How to get a Library Card

Anyone permanently residing within the Hancock County Public Library district is eligible to have a library card by completing an application form at any HCPL location. Address verification is requested for all cards. Library cards will be handed to patrons. HCPL serves all townships in Hancock County except Vernon Township. If you live in Vernon township and would like a HCPL card click here.

An adult card is for persons 18 years of age and older. Juvenile cards are for persons younger than 18. Parent/guardian signature and identification are required for applicants under 18. Cards are not transferable.
