Community Art/Photography Show

The library will showcase local talent during its second community art show. Any Hancock County Public Library cardholder may submit matted or framed artwork inspired by either of the summer reading club themes:  for children, Be Creative; for adults and teens, Express Yourself.

A single entry in the drawing/painting category may be submitted, and a single entry in the photography category may also be submitted (total of two, one in each category) in Greenfield, July 26 through 29, during library business hours.  No entry fee is required, and the show is open to both amateurs and professionals.

A reception takes place in Greenfield on Friday, July 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., when voting begins for the People's Choice Award. The public may cast votes that weekend through August 2.

Judges will choose first-place winners in each of three age divisions and a professional category. All winners receive a ribbon, priceless recognition and a non-monetary prize.

Winning entries will remain in the display case for library visitors to enjoy until August 30.
