HERE’S MORE ABOUT ONLINE CLASSES: Learning Unlimited is an exciting new program at the Hancock County Public Library that offers distance education courses from Vincennes University. It is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services. Instead of the typical distance education classes where you work alone from home, Learning Unlimited creates a community learning environment at your library where you can meet with fellow students, speak with reference librarians for help on research and library resources, and navigate your college degree with the help of the Learning Unlimited coach and coordinator. Additionally, participants who live in Hancock County receive a free netbook computer to use while enrolled in the program. This small tool has great possibilities. It provides wireless Internet access from the library, your home, or anywhere Wi-Fi is present. It also comes loaded with tools necessary to complete online course work.
