Program Description
Go behind the scenes at two of Hancock County’s most important civic buildings during this special guided tour of the Hancock County Courthouse and Annex. Participants will learn about the history, design, and day-to-day functions of these spaces. This tour offers a closer look at how county government operates and the roles these buildings play in serving the community.
Behind the Scenes Hancock is an adults-only series that gives members of our community opportunities to learn more about the inner workings of local businesses and organizations—without the need to sign up to chaperone a school group!
HCPLibrary will not be providing transportation. Please meet outside the east doors of the courthouse by 10:30 AM. We will go through security screening as a group. Cell phones, tablets, recording devices, and weapons of any kind are not allowed inside the courthouse. Parking is available on American Legion Place on the east side of the Courthouse, or in the parking lot at the Annex building (111 American Legion Pl).
Registration is required for this limited-capacity tour. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation so those on the waiting list can attend. This event repeats on April 16. Please only register for one tour.
