Program Description
The Hancock Master Gardener Association returns with Part Two of the Winter Sowing Class series: Spring Forward: Seedling Next Steps. Participants will learn how to successfully transition native plant seedlings started over the winter into healthy, thriving plants ready for the growing season.
Guest presenter Brooke Alford of the Indiana Native Plant Society will share practical tips for adding native plants to existing garden beds. Topics include choosing the right plant for the right place, along with care and maintenance techniques for long-term success. Creative container ideas for enhancing home landscapes will also be shared.
Educational stations on a variety of gardening topics will be available throughout the program, making this a great opportunity to get the gardening season off to a strong start.
This program is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to enjoy educational resources, refreshments, door prizes, and the opportunity to connect with fellow gardeners.
A satellite session for this workshop will also be held at the same time in Vernon Township at 602 Vitality Drive, Fortville, IN 46040 (the Trustee's Office next to the fire station). If you would like to attend the workshop in Fortville, please contact Flory May at florylmay@gmail.com
