
Pass will admit the card holder and persons accompanying the card holder in a private, family type, non-commercial vehicle to the Westwood Park Property administered by the Big Blue River Conservancy District, State of Indiana, where entrances are designated and fees are charged. This permit does not cover special user and service charges for services and facilities such as campground sites, firewood, boat launching fees, etc. Westwood Park is open year round to the public for a variety of recreational activities. Fishing is excellent for bass, sunfish, crappie and channel catfish. A small modern campground is located near the lake and is open from May through October. Picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, a horse trail, shelter house and play field are some of the day use activities to be found. Some facilities are handicapped accessible. While in the park, one may have the opportunity to see many types of wildlife that are present in the various habitats. Hiking trails, the horse trail and mountain bike trail offer wonderful scenery of deciduous woodlands, abandoned grasslands and rolling hills. Numerous species of trees native to Indiana may be found in the park. Pass is valid during the current calendar year. Please call the gatehouse for trail updates and any closures.
