Often overlooked in the history of the county, this book focuses on the history leading up to the formation of the Greenfield Franchise League (affiliated with the Indiana Franchise League), their efforts within the suffrage movement, and includes a biography of each identified member as well a follow-up section about some of the "firsts" for women in Hancock County.
